Jared Ali
Graphic Designer, Equipment Manager
Jared is a gear junkie through and through, and takes his job as equipment manager seriously. He is a long-time friend of Todd’s, and is a hard-working self-employed graphic designer and a proud dad. Jared is SO hard working, in fact, that hardly a day goes by where he doesn’t message us all from some high-end bike shop trying to convince us of the need for something fancy, expensive, and (usually) Italian. He swears it all makes him faster…

Robin Bloom
Legion 2016, 2017
They say that he was once a dreadlock-wearing snowboarder and tree-planter. They say he once turned down a chance to be a professional windsurfer and traded it for the glory of being a professional biologist so he could sit in a cubicle and write funding agreements for obscure endangered species. We don’t know if any of that is true (it is), but we do know that he is a natural athlete and a rider of effortless strength and ability. His also our shallow well of technical knowledge when we have a mechanical failure. His rebellious and counter-culture nature still shines through – he refuses to accept societal norms of punctuality..

Carly Szanik Coumantarakis
Legion 2017
Gesundheit!
When shit goes down in the Peleton… we’re glad to have Carly on our squad. We are also grateful that they don’t print names on bike jerseys! In addition to being our trash talker, Carly is an accomplished long-distance cyclist and a health care worker.

Val Guiltner
Legion 2016
Val was Linnea’s favourite aunt, and she honored us by joining the Legion in it’s first year. She doesn’t ride with us anymore but she continues to support this team in many great ways, offering up her yard to us for team BBQs, her beer fridge to us after a long ride, and sometimes even when she isn’t home she unknowing offers up her backyard hose for a water bottle refill or two. Thanks Val 😉

Brett Guiltner
Road Surveyor
Linnea was Bret’s favorite cousin. Or that’s how she told it, anyway. He is also a devoted husband and father to two adorable young’ns. As you can imagine, Brett has less time to train than he would like, but his natural athleticism carries him through. Brett is our official road surveyor, mostly because he tends to be out in front. But if he ever tells you “it’s all downhill from here” he is 100% bullshitting.

Tom Habib
Legion 2017
Have you ever seen a border collie go after something it DESPERATELY wanted? That’s how Tom goes about his life – relentlessly going after whatever he’s going after. Whether he’s chasing a frisbee, squash ball, wildlife or just trying to destroy you at a board game, he doesn’t know the meaning of the word quit. So he isn’t quitting… he’s just taking a break from riding with us to focus more attention on two wee babies.

Alan Mabee
Legion 2016
Alan is close family friend to Val and Dawn and he joined us in 2016 to support Val in her training rides. He did better than just support Val though… Alan proved to be a strong rider and generous teammate. Thanks Alan!!

Tessa Mettler
Team Photographer
We took a long look at our team roster and thought “what are we missing?”. The obvious answer: brooding hottie and photographer. Seriously though… Tessa was one of Linnea’s closest and most treasured friends. From junior high to end-of-life Tessa wasn’t far from Linnea’s thoughts and memories.

Andrea Morehouse
Legion 2016, 2017
Andrea is a carnivore biologist from southwest Alberta. A long time friend of Linnea’s, she and Jesse became family to Todd and Linnea while sharing a house for a semester. She also happens to be a damn fine bartender!

Carlo Rosica
Token Italian
Every cycling team needs at least one Italian to be considered legit. So, Jared solicited his friend Carlo to join us. We don’t know much about Carlo yet, but we already know he likes fancy italian bikes, and that’s enough for us to like him already. Welcome to the team, Carlo!

Robert Mowat
Legion 2016
Linnea was Bob’s only child. He showed us all where she got her big heart from joining us in 2016 and riding non-stop from start to finish. The depths of strength this man showed us all that day is something few of us will ever forget.

David Owens
Crew 2016, Legion 2017
David is our beer and mountain bike guru. He used to sling coffee and pizza. Now he’s our guy at Sherbrooke Liquor. We think it’s a step up… He loves downhill and is a reluctant roadie, but he took to the saddle for us in 2017. For 2018 he is returning in his role as support crew. Hydration is key, after all…

Jesse Tigner
Legion 2017
Water’s for fishin’. Dickel’s for drinkin’
